Taking the once world’s fastest car and making it even ‘sportier’ is nuts. But taking it to its top speed to prove its potential is even more nuts. Pierre Henri Raphanel, Bugatti’s official test driver did though, to achieve a new landspeed record for a production car in front of Guinness Book of Records officials.
The new Super Sport is only available in two-tone black and orange and is also known as the World Record Edition, appropriately. Power from the 8.0-litre W16 engine has been increased from 1001hp (746kW) to 1200hp (895kW). Torque has also been boosted somewhat, from 1250Nm to 1500Nm. Exclusive
