Mercedes S-Class EV Coming Soon? Posted: 05 May 2011 07:08 AM PDT Automobile enthusiasts out there must already be aware that the redesigned Mercedes S-Class will be a plug-in hybrid. Now, there is some exciting news about a pure electric variant of the model. It has been indicated by sources that the company is looking at customer demand for Mercedes S-Class EV. The S-class model would become one of the first EVs in its segment, if approved. The 2013 S-Class comes up with a head-up display and an interior design, which seems to be inspired from F800 Style concept revealed at the Geneva motor show in March. That could mean that can we expect lightweight seats (made of magnesium and carbon fiber), luxurious wood veneers, and a flowing center console? The 201bhp, 369lb ft 2.2-litre, four-cylinder motor will be the smallest engine to ever be offered in the S-class. As you know, currently the S-Class model uses S250 CDI. Mercedes G-Class BA3 Final Edition & Edition Select Models Official Posted: 05 May 2011 07:04 AM PDT Mercedes G-Class will now be available in two new special editions the BA3 Final Edition and Edition Select. While the BA3 Final Edition is a short-wheelbase model, the Edition Select is a for the long-wheelbase model. The Edition Select comes with a two-tone paint scheme, an AMG sports exhaust, and 18-inch black alloy wheels, where as the BA3 Final Edition – an SUV – features body-color fender flares, an AMG grille and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interiors are awesomely designed. There is a two-tone design leather upholstery and piano black wood trim that make the Edition Select alluring, while the interior highlights of the BA3 Final Edition comprise black leather seats, walnut trim and ambient lighting. The engine chamber houses a G 350 BlueTEC and a G 500. The six cylinder diesel engine, G 350 BlueTEC produces 155 kW (211 PS / 208 hp) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft), while the G 500 runs a 5.5-liter V8 petrol equipment with 285 kW (388 PS / 382 hp) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) of torque.
