Yes, you will be eligible to apply under Master's quota once you graduate. You will just need to submit a COS H1 petition like anybody else...

This is an very very good forum that has helped to answer many of my questions, or clear myths if I might say so... Thanks to everyone who have been posting.
I had one question which I hope someone could help me with. I have a full-time job offer in a very reputed company and am in the same boat as many before me with graduation towards May end (cannot get a degree completion letter before that) and no hopes of the quota for 2009 (Master's) lasting till then. My employer can also apply for the H1 based on my undergrad because my job profile is such. I wanted to know what are the pros and cons (specifically cons) of doing so for the future legal paper-work. I know for one that I might get into the lottery scenario if the similar situation like last year happens. However, I cannot avoid that. I specifically wanted to know what could happen if I do have to change jobs in the next 3 years (and the new employer has specifically hired me based on my Master's degree). In addition, if I have the company start my GC paperwork after 1 year and I need to renew my H1 after 3 years based on my Master's degree, would I need to restart the GC process?
Any other disadvantages of applying for the undergrad quota (for a Master's student) would be welcome.

US immigration policy is to get foreign people only when certain skills are not available. There are lot of laws are there to protect US jobs while hiring Foreign persons. And some more may come while increasing immigration. Some times it might not be enforced correctly. It is the mistake of US enforcement agencies and Companies but not the mistake of immigrants. Many immigrants are creating jobs here. Yes you have to complain to authorities if any one violated immigration laws. But there is no use of blaming all the immigrants. There is nothing wrong in increasing immigration with the protection of American jobs. If protection is not enough then you can ask congress to increase more protection of US jobs. But moderate increase of green card is needed. And IV goal will not increase immigration numbers and will not create unemployment in Americans because the persons will stay till getting green card. So it does not make any difference if they increase or not increase GC numbers. But it will make many persons life easier.
I am surprised that I haven�t been banned yet. Since, I am not; I will fight till the end. Now, you fellas must be eagerly waiting for my replies. Though you are not worth my time, but have patience, I am still going to reply to you all one by one, clearing any doubts you might have.

Guys, please stop pointing each other on past issues. Please work together to fix the broken system. Past is past. When you get angry, I know it jumps you to hate all negative objects. Nothing we can get out of it. Please. Lets be united to fix things. Blaming will not fix anything instead it pulls legs of each other and finally set backs.

This thread is good. Keep it going. I strongly recommend that - everyone active on thbis thread , please update your IV profile and also join a state chapter if you have not already done that. if you do not have a state chapter, contact your neighboring state chapters or if you want to start a state chapter, contact pappu or paskal and get permission to start one.
It is very nice to see a lot of new mwmbers getting organized.
I live in PA. Please let me know, how to join the state chapters so that i can activiely participate in IV initiatives.

I agree its tactic to scare people and attract attention. I think USCIS is far better placed today in 2009 compared to what it was in 2007. If that was not the case they would have just moved the Priority dates to Mid 2006 like they did last year. But this year they are much better prepared in their estimates. In Oct the dates might go back but it will definately not go back to Jan 2000 or U. They might take them back to mid 2004 and start slow advance from there. Next year Sep 10 bulletion hopefully they can take them to early. I am sure in Oct EB3 I will also come out of U and will be some where in early 2002 status at begining and will advance from there on.

Potatoes, maybe.
But seriously growing your own vegetables is a fun activity. I have not done groceries in the last few months (exceptions being junk fast food, yoghurt etc). We grow vegetables all year round. In fact we have excess of most vegetables we grow. Try it, its a lot of fun!
And good luck to all EB2 and EB3 folks - we've seen good EB2 movement and we hope we'll see more movements in both EB2 and EB3 in the days to come. Till then, Happy gardening!!

Such opportunities do not come often...we can really be noticed Nationally if we are successful this time and it will help our cause immensely....please help yourselves....

1. documented / undocumented is a matter of immigration status..... no human can be illegal..... an activity can be illegal which makes a person undocumented...... as defined by human law...... but above human law there is another law..... which is defined by an entity more or less we all believe in..... how can a new born child.... a creation of the creator be illegal? delivery of a child is not just a matter of mother.... its a matter of another life being brought into this world..... how can that child be illegal?
2. even felons are not shackled to bed.... unless someone is danger to others..... how can a pregnant woman just about to deliver a child be danger to anyone else.....
3. i lost my wallet few days back.... anyone could lose their wallet sometime or the other ..... it happens..... and during that time we are all driving with a license..... does it mean we all must be shackled to bed when delivering a child......
