But, before that have a look at the pictures added alongside. Powered by a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 560 PS (412 kW / 552 hp) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque, it is also connected to a seven-speed M Double Clutch gearbox. The car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds and is able to hit upto 200 km/h (124 mph) in 13 seconds. Further, it has an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) which can be enhanced up to 305 km/h (190 mph) with the M Driver’s Package. | Redesigned Nissan Altima Likely to be Unveiled Next Year Posted: 22 Jun 2011 03:04 AM PDT Shortly after annulling the Altima hybrid, Nissan is likely to come up with a redesigned model soon. The variant will be available as a hybrid that features a four-cylinder engine, a CVT transmission and an electric motor, powered by a lithium-ion battery. As we already reported, Nissan has axed the production of the Altima hybrid citing the reason that the car used Toyota hybrid technology. Reports have suggested that it will eventually be replaced by Nissan's own hybrid system, debuted on the Infiniti M35h recently. Now, all those reports seems to come true as the new model is expected to adopt a hybrid system based on the one used in the Infiniti M35h. Meanwhile, the consumer interest Nissan Altima created has not been promising either. For instance, Nissan were able to sell only 35,000 Altima Hybrids since 2007 in US. However, let's hope the redesigned variant fills the vacuum. Stay tuned.
