So far what I have seen from various forums, looks like its a standard RFE for most of the cases.
Asking for updated G-325A(Its an updated form little different than what we submitted during july 2007) and EVL.
Just submitted my evidences today to USCIS to the RFE I received on March 19th. Hopefully it may mean that all other evidences are fine...like BC, MC and Medicals....

Mr. Dobbs is known for his strong views against immigrants, including considering immigrants to be responsible for the spread of incurable diseases such as Drug-resistant Tuberculosis, Leprosy etc. From past experience on CNN, he is also highly likely to blame the current crisis in Auto Industry to the so-called "importation of cheap labor from third world countries".
He is known to make exaggerated statements such as "Four hundred thousand H1Bs granted in a year" where as facts show otherwise. As per government figures, federal government awarded 124,096 H-1B visas in the fiscal year ending October 2005, the most recent annual totals available. That includes renewed visas, which don't count against the annual cap. These dramatic exaggerations distort the reality and provide a falsified alarmist view of the situation; which works against the interests of Immigrants ,businesses and American economy.
In the interests of fairness, you should also air the counter-views while providing coverage to such strong one-sided views. This would provide a balanced coverage to your viewers.
In the absence of such unbiased coverage, Mr. Dobbs verbal attacks may provoke physical attacks against foreigners as well as any foreign-looking persons by misguided elements provoked by your show. If such incidents do happen, please understand that your network will be indirectly responsible and liable to the foreigners affected.
As a concerned party I would like to know -
1) What action your network is taking to provide coverage of the other point of view, in the interests of fairness?
2) What action is your network taking to ensure that Lou Dobbs verbal attacks on foreigners do not translate into physical attacks on foreigners living in Michigan?

Fight for truth is a difficult thing but when fought with full enthu you will see the results(what ever they might be something positive).
I don't know what this petition is going to do. Atleast it will convey to CNN top brass that there are people out there who won't tolerate such lies. Maybe it won't do anything now but we must continue our efforts and oppose such false propagation of information whenever we can.

I would say the activity in state chapter participation is '5%' at best in contributing members. By that token, you can ignore the non-contributing members. I see thousands of messages in retrogression and like forums while I see hardly dozens of messages in state chapters forums.
Take the example of state Texas, it has one of the largest pool of House Reps in congress and folks impacted by retrogression in this state is very high. Most of these House Reps are anti-immigrant. I am not sure if it is for both legal and illegal. In TX, there is no state chapter activity for the last 4 months. I called for a meeting, not one responded. I think IV core should come up with a specific schedule for each of the state chapter meetings and also core team should assign a contact for each of the state chapters. Core team should also participate in these meetings to provide a directed leadership. If need be, induct more members into core team..

I don't think we are not hearing news from IV. The Admin fixes campaign has been the most important effort these days. So now we all need to give IV an update if we sent our letters. I would not care about core members who were old and new. I really dont care about them because I think IV is all of us and not core folks. I just care about if IV is doing good work and helping everyone.
Why would you be curious to know about someone else's personal problems/issues? Your post sounds more like my daughter hypothetically saying that she doesn't care about whether her grandparents/parents are alive or dead, as long as she is there and she has a family to feed and take care of her...

well, I have to keep my hopes up. Since I HAVE to wait to get H4 extension before I can apply for H1 transfer, I'd like to see them last long enough so that I can get an H1 IN time, this year.
It can be so disappointing to get the job but miss the quota for 2 consecutive years :mad: :mad: :mad: and then 2 years I was ineligible for H1 because of the 6 yr limit. :( :mad:
Anyway, every dog has its day and I am hoping this is the year when I get my H1. :D

If you didnt have money in ur pocket.. why the heck did you go for PHd.. now stop complaining about people who got a job and started working.. why dont you tell the truth to everyone that you didnt get a job after you completed MS and ultimately to keep yourself in US you opted for Phd.

This might sound weired..but I think we can get some support from Housing Market !
Facts:

The housing market is slowing down significantly and there are millions of unsold homes out there.
More than 1/2 million people are stuck in the green card process. I am sure
most are waiting for green card before they buy their house and make longtime commitment.
I think we are a "Frozen" pool of customers for the Housing Market.
500000 H1B X 300000 (average house price) = 150 billion dollar market is just
inaccessible just because of retrogression.
I think we should convince them to help us FINANCIALY

My priority date is Jan 04 EB2 and I have a very good job offer. I am in dilemma whether to change the job or just wait for the PD to become current. I have recently got my H1 approval for 3 more year on the basis for 140 approval.

At this rate, EB2 I will become current next June for sure and EB3 ROW/I will move. But again, this movement may be for just 3 months ...
